What to do right now
Water leaking or a pipe burst:
- Turn off the main water shut-off. It's usually where the water line comes into the basement, near the meter.
- If water is near lights or outlets, turn off power to that area at the panel.
- Open a low tap to drain the pressure.
- Move valuables and take photos for your insurer.
Drain backing up:
- Stop using all water in the house: no flushing, laundry, dishwasher or showers.
- Keep people and pets away from sewage water.
- Call us.
No water at all: check with neighbours. If they have water, it may be a frozen or broken service line or a closed valve. Call us.

Urgent jobs we handle
- Burst and frozen pipes
- Leaks in walls and ceilings
- Main drain and floor drain backups
- Water heater leaks
- Toilets overflowing or leaking at the base
- Broken shut-off valves that won't close
- Sump pumps that have stopped
Honest about timing and price
We'd rather tell you the truth than promise a time we can't keep. When you call, we'll tell you when a plumber can realistically be there. If we can't get to you in time, we'll say so, so you can call someone who can. We explain the call-out fee before we book, and you get the repair price before we start. After-hours and weekend work costs more, and we tell you that up front too.
Water where it shouldn't be?
Call now. We'll tell you what to do this minute and when we can be there.
After the emergency
A burst pipe or a backup is often a symptom. Frozen pipes point to a cold spot that needs insulating or rerouting. Repeat backups point to the drain or sewer line. Once the water's stopped, we'll tell you what caused it and how to keep it from happening again.
